     St. George Henry Lowther, 4th Earl of Lonsdale was born on 4 October 1855.1 He was the son of Henry Lowther, 3rd Earl of Lonsdale and Emily Susan Caulfeild.1 He married Lady Constance Gwladys Herbert, daughter of Sidney Herbert, 1st Baron Herbert of Lea and Mary Elizabeth à Court Repington, on 6 July 1878.1 He died on 8 February 1882 at age 26.1
     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, EnglandG.1 He succeeded as the 4th Earl of Lonsdale, co. Westmorland [U.K., 1807] on 15 August 1876.1 He succeeded as the 5th Baronet Lowther [G.B., 1764] on 15 August 1876.1 He succeeded as the 5th Viscount Lowther of Whitehaven [G.B., 1797] on 15 August 1876.1 He succeeded as the 5th Baron Lowther of Whitehaven [G.B., 1797] on 15 August 1876.1 He gained the rank of Colonel in the Royal Cumberland Militia.1 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Cumberland.1

     Hugh Cecil Lowther, 5th Earl of Lonsdale was born on 25 January 1857.1 He was the son of Henry Lowther, 3rd Earl of Lonsdale and Emily Susan Caulfeild.1 He married Lady Grace Cecile Gordon, daughter of Charles Gordon, 10th Marquess of Huntly and Maria Antoinetta Pegus, on 25 June 1878.3 He died on 13 April 1944 at age 87, without issue.1
     Hugh Cecil Lowther, 5th Earl of Lonsdale also went by the nick-name of 'The Yellow Earl'.1 He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, EnglandG.1 He succeeded as the 5th Earl of Lonsdale, co. Edward Feetham and Isabel Beatrix Grant, on 8 October 1923.1 He died on 11 March 1953 at age 85.1

     Lady Grace Cecile Gordon was the daughter of Charles Gordon, 10th Marquess of Huntly and Maria Antoinetta Pegus.1 She married Hugh Cecil Lowther, 5th Earl of Lonsdale, son of Henry Lowther, 3rd Earl of Lonsdale and Emily Susan Caulfeild, on 25 June 1878.1 She died on 12 May 1941, without issue.1
     Her married name became Lowther. After her marriage, Lady Grace Cecile Gordon was styled as Countess of Lonsdale on 8 February 1882. She was appointed Commander, Order of the British Empire (C.B.E.) in 1920.2

George Williams Knox, son of Lt.-Col. Brownlow William Knox and Louisa Sutton, on 30 April 1886 at Oakham, Rutland, England.1,2 She died on 11 June 1932 at age 69 at 29 Wimpole Street, Marylebone, London, England.1,2
     Her married name became Knox.

     Lady Constance Gwladys Herbert was born on 24 April 1859.3 She was the daughter of Sidney Herbert, 1st Baron Herbert of Lea and Mary Elizabeth à Court Repington.1,3 She married, firstly, St. George Henry Lowther, 4th Earl of Lonsdale, son of Henry Lowther, 3rd Earl of Lonsdale and Emily Susan Caulfeild, on 6 July 1878.4 She married, secondly, Frederick Oliver Robinson, 2nd Marquess of Ripon, son of George Frederick Samuel Robinson, 1st Marquess of Ripon and Henrietta Anne Theodosia Vyner, on 7 May 1885.1,3 She died on 27 October 1917 at age 58.4
     On 30 May 1862 she was granted the rank of an earl's daughter.3 After her marriage, Lady Constance Gwladys Herbert was styled as Countess of Lonsdale on 6 July 1878. From 6 July 1878, her married name became Lowther. From 7 May 1885, her married name became Robinson. After her marriage, Lady Constance Gwladys Herbert was styled as Marchioness of Ripon on 9 July 1909.

Maud Frances Vivian, on 9 June 1903.1 She married, secondly, Major Keith Trevor, son of Harry Depuis Trevor, on 12 June 1919.1 She and Major Keith Trevor were divorced in 1926.1 She died on 23 September 1965 at age 84.1
     Lady Gladys Mary Juliet Lowther usually went by her middle name of Juliet.1 From 9 June 1903, her married name became Duff. From 12 June 1919, her married name became Trevor. In 1926 her name was legally changed to Lowther.1
