John Schomberg Trefusis was born on 24 June 1852 at Huish, Devon, England.1,2 He was the son of Charles Rodolph Trefusis, 19th Lord Clinton and Lady Elizabeth Georgiana Kerr.3 He married Eva Louisa Bontein, daughter of James Bontein and Katherine Cecilia Shelley, on 19 July 1883.1 He died on 29 December 1932 at age 80.1
