     Edward Heneage Dering was born on 15 March 1827.² He was the son of Reverend Cholmeley Edward John Dering and Maria Price.^1,2 He married, firstly, Henrietta Georgiana Marcia Iremonger, daughter of Reverend Lascelles Iremonger and Harriet Maria Gambier, on 1 June 1859.¹ He married, secondly, Rebecca Dulcibella Orpen, daughter of Abraham Edward Orpen, on 21 September 1885.² He died on 22 November 1892 at age 65, without issue.²
     He gained the rank of officer in the Coldstream Guards.¹
