Helen Susan Chatterton was the daughter of Major Thomas Chatterton and Charlotte Green.2 She married, firstly, Captain John C. Symonds on 28 October 1831.1 She married, secondly, Colonel Peter Hawker, son of Lt.-Col. Peter Ryves Hawker and Mary Wilson Yonge, on 29 August 1844.1
From 28 October 1831, her married name became Symonds. From 29 August 1844, her married name became Hawker.

Mary Hallaran was the daughter of Reverend William Hallaran.1 She married Rt. Hon. Hedges Eyre Chatterton, son of Abraham Chatterton and Jane Tisdall, in 1845.1 She died, without issue.1
