Sir James Chatterton, 1st Bt. was the son of Abraham Chatterton and Martha Roche.2 He married Rebecca Lane, daughter of Abraham Lane, in 1790.1 He died in 1806.1
He was 2nd Serjeant-at-law and Keeper of State Papers in Ireland.1 He was created 1st Baronet Chatterton [U.K.] on 3 August 1801.1

Sir William Abraham Chatterton, 2nd Bt. was born on 5 August 1794.1 He was the son of Sir James Chatterton, 1st Bt. and Rebecca Lane.2 He married Henrietta Georgiana Marcia Iremonger, daughter of Reverend Lascelles Iremonger and Harriet Maria Gambier, on 3 August 1824.1 He died in 1855, without issue.2
He succeeded as the 2nd Baronet Chatterton [U.K., 1801] in 1806.1 He lived at Castle Mahon, County Cork, IrelandG.1

Henrietta Georgiana Marcia Iremonger was the daughter of Reverend Lascelles Iremonger and Harriet Maria Gambier.2 She married, firstly, Sir William Abraham Chatterton, 2nd Bt., son of Sir James Chatterton, 1st Bt. and Rebecca Lane, on 3 August 1824.1 She married, secondly, Edward Heneage Dering, son of Reverend Cholmeley Edward John Dering and Maria Price, on 1 June 1859.1 She died on 6 February 1876.1

General Sir James Charles Chatterton, 3rd Bt. was born in 1796.1 He was the son of Sir James Chatterton, 1st Bt. and Rebecca Lane.2 He married Anne Atkinson, daughter of James Atkinson, in 1825.1 He died in 1872, without surviving male issue.1
He fought in the Peninsula Wars.1 He fought in the Battle of Waterloo in 1815.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for County Cork between 1831 and 1835.1 He gained the rank of Colonel in the 4th Royal Irish Dragoon Guards and 5th Light Dragoons.1 He was awarded the Knight, Order of San Fernando of Spain.1 He was awarded the honorary degree of Doctor of Law (LL.D.)1 He held the office of Gentleman of the Privy Chamber to HM Queen Victoria.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for County Cork between 1849 and 1852.1 He held the office of High Sheriff of County Cork in 1851.1 He succeeded as the 3rd Baronet Chatterton [U.K., 1801] in 1855.1 He carried the Guard Banner at the Duke of Wellington's Funeral.1 He was appointed Knight, Hanoverian Order (K.H.)1 He was appointed Knight Commander, Order of the Bath (K.C.B.)1 He lived at Castle Mahon, County Cork, IrelandG.1 On his death, his baronetcy became extinct.1
