Roger Charles George Chetwode was born on 18 April 1906.2 He was the son of Field Marshal Philip Walhouse Chetwode, 1st Baron Chetwode and Alice Hester Camilla Stapleton-Cotton.2 He married Hon. Molly Patricia Berry, daughter of William Ewart Berry, 1st Viscount Camrose and Mary Agnes Corns, on 19 May 1936.3 He died on 14 August 1940 at age 34.1
