Thomas Walter Brand, 3rd Viscount Hampden of Glynde was born on 29 January 1869.3 He was the son of Henry Robert Brand, 2nd Viscount Hampden of Glynde and Susan Henrietta Cavendish.1 He married Lady Katharine Mary Montagu Douglas Scott, daughter of William Henry Walter Montagu Douglas Scott, 6th Duke of Buccleuch and Lady Louisa Jane Hamilton, on 29 April 1899.3 He died on 4 September 1958 at age 89.3
     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, EnglandG.3 He was educated at Trinity College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, EnglandG.3 He gained the rank of Brigade Major in the 2nd Cavalry Brigade.3 He fought in the Boer War between 1899 and 1901, where he was mentioned in despatches.3 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Hertfordshire.3 He succeeded as the 25th Lord Dacre [E., 1321] on 22 November 1906.3 He succeeded as the 3rd Viscount Hampden of Glynde, co. Joan Barbara Yarde-Buller were divorced in 1949.1 He married, secondly, Rita Hayworth on 27 May 1949 at Cannes, France.2 He died on 12 May 1960 at age 48, after a motor accident.1
