     Hon. Lydia Yarde-Buller was born on 17 October 1917.3 She was the daughter of John Reginald Lopes Yarde-Buller, 3rd Baron Churston of Churston Ferrers and Lupton and Jessie Smither.1,3 She married, firstly, Captain Ian Archibald de Hoghton Lyle, son of Sir Archibald Moir Park Lyle, 2nd Bt. and Dorothy de Hoghton, on 26 January 1938.1 She married, secondly, John Ian Robert Russell, 13th Duke of Bedford, son of Hastings William Sackville Russell, 12th Duke of Bedford and Louisa Crommelin Roberta Jowitt Whitwell, on 13 February 1947.1 She and John Ian Robert Russell, 13th Duke of Bedford were divorced in 1960.1 She died on 25 July 2006 at age 88 at St. Peter's Hospital, Chertsey, Surrey, EnglandG, after a fall.4
     From 26 January 1938, her married name became Lyle. From 13 February 1947, her married name became Russell. After her marriage, Hon. Lydia Yarde-Buller was styled as Duchess of Bedford on 9 October 1953. She lived in 2003 at Little Ribsden, Windlesham, Bagshot, Surrey, EnglandG.5

     Richard Francis Roger Yarde-Buller, 4th Baron Churston of Churston Ferrers and Lupton was born on 12 February 1910.1 He was the son of John Reginald Lopes Yarde-Buller, 3rd Baron Churston of Churston Ferrers and Lupton and Jessie Smither.1 He married, firstly, Elizabeth Mary du Pré, daughter of Lt.-Col. William Baring du Pré and Youri Wynyad Wright, on 5 January 1933.1 He and Elizabeth Mary du Pré were divorced in 1943.1 He married, secondly, Sandra Needham, daughter of Percy Needham, on 31 March 1949.1 He married, thirdly, Olga Alice Muriel Rothschild, daughter of Lionel Walter Rothschild, 2nd Baron Rothschild and Marie Barbara Fredenson, in 1981.1 He died on 9 April 1991 at age 81.1
     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, EnglandG.1 He succeeded as the 4th Baron Churston of Churston Ferrers and Lupton, co. Devon [U.K., 1858] on 19 April 1930.1 He succeeded as the 6th Baronet Buller [G.B., 1790] on 19 April 1930.1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Commander in the Royal Naval Volunteer Reserve.2 He fought in the Second World War.3 He was awarded the Royal Naval Volunteer Reserve Officers' Decoration (V.R.D.) in 1949.2

He was the son of John Reginald Lopes Yarde-Buller, 3rd Baron Churston of Churston Ferrers and Lupton and Jessie Smither.1,2 He married Guendolen Margaret Osborn Roots, daughter of Reverend Charles Roots, on 25 November 1939.1 He died on 10 October 1962 at age 47.1
     He fought in the Second World War.1

     Captain Ian Archibald de Hoghton Lyle was born on 1 September 1909.2 He was the son of Sir Archibald Moir Park Lyle, 2nd Bt. and Dorothy de Hoghton.3 He married Hon. Lydia Yarde-Buller, daughter of John Reginald Lopes Yarde-Buller, 3rd Baron Churston of Churston Ferrers and Lupton and Jessie Smither, on 26 January 1938.1 He died between 23 October 1942 and 24 October 1942 at El Alamein, EgyptG, killed in action.4
     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, EnglandG.2 He was educated at Trinity College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, EnglandG.2 He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the Scottish Horse Scouts (TA.)2 He gained the rank of Captain in the Black Watch.4 He fought in the Battle of El Alamein in October 1942.3

     Sir Archibald Moir Park Lyle, 2nd Bt. was born on 5 February 1884.2 He was the son of Sir Alexander Park Lyle, 1st Bt. and Grace Eleanora Moir.2 He married Dorothy de Hoghton, daughter of Sir James de Hoghton, 11th Bt. and Aimee Jean Grove, on 24 November 1908.2 He died on 3 December 1946 at age 62.2

     Sir James de Hoghton, 11th Bt. was born on 2 February 1851.1 He was the son of Sir Henry Bold-Hoghton, 8th Bt. and Harriet Sarah Smith.2 He married Aimee Jean Grove, daughter of John Grove, on 27 June 1878.2 He died on 4 November 1938 at age 87.
     He was given the name of James Bold-Hoghton at birth.1 He was educated at Cheltenham College, Cheltenham, Gloucestershire, EnglandG.2 He fought in the Ashanti War in 1873.1 He was awarded the Royal Humane Society Gold Medal and Stanhope Silver in 1874.2 On 4 January 1875 his name was legally changed to James de Hoghton by Royal Licence.1 He gained the rank of Major in the Lincolnshire Regiment.1 He gained the rank of Major and Honorary Lieutenant-Colonel in the 4th Battalion, Lincolnshire Regiment.1 He was Commandant/Senior Instructor between 1892 and 1893 at School of Musketry, Hythe, Kent, EnglandG.2 He succeeded as the 11th Baronet de Hoghton, of Hoghton Tower, and Walton le Dale, co.
