     Lady Mary Isabella Lyon-Bowes was the daughter of Thomas Lyon-Bowes, 11th Earl of Strathmore and Kinghorne and Mary Elizabeth Louisa Rodney Carpenter.1 She married John Walpole Willis, son of Captain William Willis and Mary Smyth, on 8 August 1824.1 She and John Walpole Willis were divorced in 1833.1 She died in 1836 at France.2
     Her married name became Willis.

     Lady Sarah Eliza Lyon-Bowes was the daughter of Thomas Lyon-Bowes, 11th Earl of Strathmore and Kinghorne and Eliza Northcote.2 She married, firstly, George Augustus Campbell, son of Robert Campbell, 10th of Skipness and Eugenia Josephine Wynne, on 2 November 1834.3 She married, secondly, Maj.-Gen. Charles Philip de Ainslie, son of Colonel Charles Philip Ainslie and Mary Ann Atkinson, on 13 July 1843 at Malta.1 She died on 6 June 1847.2
     Her married name became Campbell. Her married name became Ainslie.

     Hon. George Bowes was born on 17 November 1771.1 He was the son of John Bowes, 9th Earl of Strathmore and Kinghorne and Mary Eleanor Bowes.1,2 He married Mary Thornhill, daughter of Edward Thornhill, on 14 June 1805.1 He died on 26 December 1806 at age 35, without issue.1
     He lived at St. Paul's Walden, Hertfordshire, England.1

     John Middleton, 1st Earl of Middleton was born circa 1619.2 He was the son of Robert Middleton and Helen Strachan.3,2 He married, firstly, Grizel Durham, daughter of James Durham, in July 1639.4 He married, secondly, Lady Martha Carey, daughter of Henry Carey, 2nd Earl of Monmouth and Lady Martha Cranfield, on 16 December 1667 at St. Andrew's, Holborn, London, England.4 He died on 3 July 1674 at Tangier, MoroccoG.2,5
     He was created 1st Earl of Middleton in 1660.6

Hon. Patrick Lyon of Auchterhouse1

     Hon. Patrick Lyon of Auchterhouse was the son of Patrick Lyon, 3rd Earl of Strathmore and Kinghorne and Lady Helen Middleton.2 He married Margaret Carnegie, daughter of Hon. James Carnegie and Anna Maitland.1 He died on 13 November 1715 at Sheriffmuir, ScotlandG, killed in action.2
     He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Angus between 1702 and 1715.2 He fought in the Battle of Sheriffmuir on 13 November 1715.2

     After her marriage, Lady Margaret Erskine was styled as Countess of Kinghorne on 19 June 1618. From 19 June 1618, her married name became Lyon.

     William Keith, 2nd Earl of Kintore was the son of John Keith, 1st Earl of Kintore and Lady Margaret Hamilton.3 He married Hon. Catherine Murray, daughter of David Murray, 4th Viscount of Stormont and Lady Jean Carnegie, on 8 August 1687.1 He died on 5 December 1718.1
     He succeeded as the 2nd Lord Keith of Inverurie and Keith Hall [S., 1677] on 12 April 1715.1 He succeeded as the 2nd Earl of Kintore [S., 1677] on 12 April 1715.1 He fought in the Battle of Sheriffmuir on 13 November 1715, and hence deprived of the office of Knight Marischal.1

     Patrick Lyon, 1st Earl of Kinghorne was born in 1575.1 He was the son of John Lyon, 8th Lord Glamis and Hon. Elizabeth Abernethy.1 He married Lady Anne Murray, daughter of John Murray, 1st Earl of Tullibardine and Catherine Drummond, in June 1595.2 He died on 19 December 1615.1
     He succeeded as the 9th Lord Glamis [S., 1445] on 17 March 1577/78.1 He was appointed Privy Counsellor (P.C.) [Scotland] before 1606.1 He was created 1st Lord Lyon and Glamis [Scotland] on 10 July 1606.1 He was created 1st Earl of Kinghorne [Scotland] on 10 July 1606.1
