Eugenie Violet Adele Brett, on 18 February 1908.4 He died on 17 July 1952 at age 80.3

In 1651 he prevented the Regalia of Scotland from falling into the hands of CromwellL by removing them from Dunnottar Castle and hiding them under the floor of Kinneff church for nine years, while pretending that he had delivered them to King Charles II in Paris.1 He held the office of Knight Marischal of Scotland between 1660 and 1714, in consideration of his services in preserving the Scottish Regalia.1 He held the office of Commissioner of the Council for Public Affairs in 1677.1 He was created 1st Earl of Kintore [Scotland] on 26 June 1677.1 He was created 1st Lord Keith of Inverurie and Keith Hall [Scotland] on 26 June 1677.1 He held the office of Treasurer-Depute [Scotland] between 1684 and 1687.1 In 1688 he supported the revolution.1 He held the office of Commissioner of the Privy Seal in 1689.1 In 1694 he obtained a regrant of his 1677 titles with remainder to heirs male of his body.1 He was a Commissioner for Settling the peace of the Highlands in 1702.1 In 1707 he supported the Parliamentary Union with England.1

Eugenie Violet Adele Brett, on 11 April 1907.1 He died on 20 September 1945.1

Eugenie Violet Adele Brett, on 28 April 1919.1 He died on 4 August 1988 at age 90 at Westminster, London, England.1,3
