He married, secondly, Maria de las Mercedes Licer, daughter of Luis Licer and Maria de las Mercedes Garcia y Estrada, on 25 June 1984 at Madrid, Spain^G, in a civil marriage. He and Maria de las Mercedes Licer were divorced on 31 January 1989.² He married, thirdly, Emanuela Protalongo, daughter of Vincenzo Protalongo and Sofia Hardouin, on 12 December 1992 in a civil marriage.
