Sir Emil Hugo Oscar Robert Ropner, 1st Bt. was born on 16 December 1838.1 He was the son of John Henry Ropner and Emilie Bessel.2 He married Mary Anne Craik, daughter of John Craik, on 26 July 1858.1 He died on 26 February 1924 at age 85.1

Mary Anne Craik was the daughter of John Craik.2 She married Sir Emil Hugo Oscar Robert Ropner, 1st Bt., son of John Henry Ropner and Emilie Bessel, on 26 July 1858.1 She died on 20 October 1921.1

Sir John Henry Ropner, 2nd Bt. was born on 7 September 1860.1 He was the son of Sir Emil Hugo Oscar Robert Ropner, 1st Bt. and Mary Anne Craik.2 He married Margaret MacGregor, daughter of John MacGregor, on 26 September 1888.1 He died on 13 July 1936 at age 75.2
