Leonard Ropner was born on 20 April 1873.1 He was the son of Sir Emil Hugo Oscar Robert Ropner, 1st Bt. and Mary Anne Craik.2 He married Georgina Mackay, daughter of Murdock Mackay, on 17 November 1904.1 He died on 4 August 1937 at age 64.1
