     Caroline Mary Piers was the daughter of Henry Piers and Ellen Sarah Colborn.2 She married Lt.-Col. James Henry Paine, son of James Paine, on 27 May 1896.1 She died on 10 July 1924, leaving issue.1
     From 27 May 1896, her married name became Paine.1

     Lt.-Col. James Henry Paine was the son of James Paine.2 He married Caroline Mary Piers, daughter of Henry Piers and Ellen Sarah Colborn, on 27 May 1896.1 He died on 25 July 1918, killed in action.1
     He fought in the First World War.1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the Royal Garrison Artillery.1 He was awarded the Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.)1

     William Dewé Piers was born on 6 August 1820.1 He was the son of Reverend Octavius Samuel Piers and Jane Tristram.2 He married, thirdly, Letitia Ellen Clayton Daubeny, daughter of Reverend James Daubeny and Eleanor Browne-Clayton, on 1 November 1871.1 He died on 4 May 1876 at age 55.1

     Reverend James Daubeny was born in 1801 at Clifton, Bristol, England.2 He married Eleanor Browne-Clayton, daughter of Lt.-Gen. Robert Browne-Clayton and Henrietta Clayton, on 2 June 1835.2 He died on 16 April 1882.2

     Letitia Ellen Clayton Daubeny was born on 1 February 1841 at Clifton, Bristol, England.2 She was the daughter of Reverend James Daubeny and Eleanor Browne-Clayton.3,2 She married, firstly, William Dewé Piers, son of Reverend Octavius Samuel Piers and Jane Tristram, on 1 November 1871.1 She married, secondly, Thomas Frederick Jennings-Bramly, son of Frederick Jennings-Bramly and Susan Jenkins, on 15 June 1910 at Tunbridge Wells, Kent, England.1 She died on 29 May 1929 at age 88 at Ticehurst, Sussex, England.2
     From 1 November 1871, her married name became Piers.1 From 15 June 1910, her married name became Jennings-Bramly.1

     Thomas Tristram Piers was born on 7 March 1824.1 He was the son of Reverend Octavius Samuel Piers and Jane Tristram.2 He married Charlotte Mary Tristram, daughter of Reverend Henry Baker Tristram and Charlotte Jocelyn Smith, on 2 March 1854.1 He died on 29 May 1873 at age 49.1
     He gained the rank of Colonel in the Honourable East India Company.1
