     Henry Octavius Piers was born on 1 January 1856.¹ He was the son of Henry Piers and Ellen Sarah Colborn.² He married Lise Agnes Johnston-Ferguson, daughter of Dep. Surgn.-Gen. Unknown Johnston-Ferguson, in 1886.¹ He died on 8 February 1945 at age 89.¹
     He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel and Brevet Colonel in the Royal Artillery.¹

     Lise Agnes Johnston-Ferguson was the daughter of Dep. Surgn.-Gen. Unknown Johnston-Ferguson.² She married Henry Octavius Piers, son of Henry Piers and Ellen Sarah Colborn, in 1886.¹ She died on 2 September 1937.¹
     From 1886, her married name became Piers.¹

     Gwendolen May Piers was born in 1889.¹ She was the daughter of Henry Octavius Piers and Lise Agnes Johnston-Ferguson.²
