Colonel William Hay Macnaghten was born in 1842.1 He was the son of Elliot MacNaghten and Isabella Law.2 He married Alice Ellen Brander, daughter of Lt.-Gen. Mangles James Brander, on 15 April 1869.1 He died on 1 July 1889.1

Colonel Ernest Brander Macnaghten was born on 11 September 1872.1 He was the son of Colonel William Hay Macnaghten and Alice Ellen Brander.2 He married Yvonne Marie Forrester, daughter of Surgn.-Col. James Samuel Forrester, on 4 October 1906.1 He died on 21 November 1948 at age 76.1
