     Sophia A. Bulteel was born in 1853 at Bickleigh, Devon, England^G.¹ She was the daughter of Thomas Hillersden Bulteel and Caroline Louisa Harris.¹

     Caroline Louisa Harris married Thomas Hillersden Bulteel, son of Thomas Hillersdon Bulteel and Anne Harris.¹ She died in 1857 at Plymouth, Devon, England^G.¹
     Her married name became Bulteel.¹

     Elliot Macnaghten was born on 13 January 1837.¹ He was the son of Elliot MacNaghten and Isabella Law.² He married Jane Maria Vibart, daughter of Thomas Gowan Vibart and Jane Russell Macnaghten, on 10 September 1859.¹ He died on 18 March 1875 at age 38.¹
     He was with the Indian Civil Service.¹ He was a practising barrister.¹

     Thomas Gowan Vibart married Jane Russell Macnaghten, daughter of Sir Francis Workman-Macnaghten, 1st Bt. and Letitia Dunkin, on 17 November 1821.²
     He was in the Bengal Civil Service.¹

     Jane Maria Vibart was the daughter of Thomas Gowan Vibart and Jane Russell Macnaghten.² She married Elliot Macnaghten, son of Elliot MacNaghten and Isabella Law, on 10 September 1859.¹ She died on 27 January 1891.¹
     From 10 September 1859, her married name became Macnaghten.

     Russell Elliot Macnaghten was born on 19 November 1860.¹ He was the son of Elliot Macnaghten and Jane Maria Vibart.² He married Mary Berry, daughter of Frederick Berry, in 1891.¹ He died on 6 July 1918 at age 57.¹
     He graduated from Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England, with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)¹ He was a practising barrister.¹ He was Professor of Greek at University College, British Columbia, Canada.¹ He was Assistant Professor of Classics at McGill University, Montreal, Quebec, Canada.¹

     Mary Berry was the daughter of Frederick Berry.² She married Russell Elliot Macnaghten, son of Elliot Macnaghten and Jane Maria Vibart, in 1891.¹ She died in 1950.¹
     From 1891, her married name became Macnaghten.

     Ronald Frederick Macnaghten was born in 1893.¹ He was the son of Russell Elliot Macnaghten and Mary Berry.² He died on 11 February 1958, unmarried.¹
     He was educated at Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.¹ He was member of the British Columbia Law Society and Vancouver Bar Association.¹ He was educated at New College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England.¹ He fought in the First World War, where he was mentioned in despatches.¹ He gained the rank of Captain in the Canadian Infantry.¹ He was awarded the Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.) in 1918.¹ He was a practising barrister.¹
