     John Adam Dalrymple-Fergusson was born on 7 May 1845.¹ He was the son of Sir Charles Dalrymple-Fergusson of Kilkerran, 5th Bt. and Helen Boyle.² He married Sarah Gilbert, daughter of Joseph Gilbert, on 13 July 1871.¹ He died on 5 December 1920 at age 75.¹
     He gained the rank of Colonel in the Rifle Brigade.¹ He was commander of the Provincial Battalion Rifle Brigade between 1901 and 1902.¹ He was Professor of Tactics, Military Law and Administration at Royal Military College, Sandhurst, Berkshire, England^G.¹

     From 13 July 1871, her married name became Dalrymple-Fergusson.

     Gilbert Charles Dalrymple Dalrymple-Fergusson was born on 15 August 1874.¹ He was the son of John Adam Dalrymple-Fergusson and Sarah Gilbert.² He died on 11 December 1899 at age 25, killed in action.¹
     He fought in the Boer War.¹ He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the Rifle Brigade.¹

     William Alexander Dalrymple-Fergusson was born on 1 April 1877.¹ He was the son of John Adam Dalrymple-Fergusson and Sarah Gilbert.² He died on 8 April 1879 at age 2.¹
