Albertina Marianna Gaulis was the daughter of John Abraham Rodolph Gaulis.2 She married Robert George William Trefusis, 17th Lord Clinton, son of Robert Cotton Trefusis and Hon. Anne St. John, on 28 April 1786 at Lausanne, SwitzerlandG.3 She died on 7 February 1798 at Cross, Torrington, Devon, EnglandG, frm a burst blood vessel.3 Her will was proven (by probate) in May 1798.3

Colonel Robert Cotton St. John Trefusis, 18th Lord Clinton was born on 28 April 1787 at Trefusis, Cornwall, EnglandG.2 He was the son of Robert George William Trefusis, 17th Lord Clinton and Albertina Marianna Gaulis.3 He was baptised on 2 May 1787 at Mylor, Cornwall, EnglandG.2 He married Frances Selina Isabella Poyntz, daughter of William Stephen Poyntz and Hon. Elizabeth Mary Browne, on 4 August 1814.1 He died in October 1832 at age 45 at Florence, ItalyG, without issue.2 He was buried at Trefusis, Cornwall, EnglandG.2 He died intestate and his estate was administered in January 1833.2
He was educated at Harrow School, Harrow, London, EnglandG.1 He succeeded as the 18th Lord Clinton [E., 1299] on 28 August 1797.1 He was educated in 1802 at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, EnglandG.4 He was commissioned in 1803, in the service of the British Army.2 He gained the rank of Captain in the 16th Light Dragoons.1 He was Aide-de-Camp to the Duke of Wellington.1 He fought in the Peninsular Wars.1 He gained the rank of Colonel in 1825.1
