David Carmichael, 7th of Balmedie, Craigpottie and Whelphill1

     David Carmichael, 7th of Balmedie, Craigpottie and Whelphill was the son of James Carmichael, 6th of Balmedie, Craigpottie, Kirkdrum and Whelphill and Jean Carnegie.2 He married, firstly, Margaret Oliphant, daughter of William Oliphant, Lord Newton and Elizabeth Bennet, before 1621. He married, secondly, Margaret Myrton, daughter of Sir Thomas Myrton of Cambo and Anne Halkett, after 1621.1 He died before 14 November 1646.1
     He held the office of Heritable Baillie of Abernethy between 1594 and 1646.1 He was on the Committee of War for Perth in 1627.1 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Perth in 1627.1 On 17 January 1629 he acquired the lands of Ecclesiamagirdle.1 He was Commissioner to the famous Glasgow Assembly for Abernethy in 1638.1
     He also had a son and two daughters by his first wife.1

     Sir Nicholas White was born in 1583.2 He married Ursula Moore, daughter of Garret Moore, 1st Viscount Moore of Drogheda.
     He lived at Leixlip, County Kildare, IrelandG.1 He was also known as Sir Nicholas Whyte.3

     James Carmichael was the son of David Carmichael, 7th of Balmedie, Craigpottie and Whelphill and Margaret Myrton.2,1 He married Euphan Myrton, daughter of Sir Thomas Myrton of Cambo and Anne Halkett, after 1662.1 He died on 20 October 1704.1
     He lived at Balmblae, ScotlandG.1

     From before 1662, her married name became Colville.1 From after 1662, her married name became Carmichael.
