     John Hovenden was the son of Thomas Hovenden and Hon. Margaret Fitzpatrick.2 He married Hon. Mary Butler, daughter of Sir Edward Butler, 1st Viscount Galmoye and Hon. Anne Butler.1 He died in 1680.1
     He lived at Tankardstown Castle, County Laois, IrelandG.1
