     Ellen Katherine Thomas was the daughter of George William Griffiths Thomas.¹ She married Henry Edzell Morgan Lindsay, son of Lt.-Col. Henry Gore Lindsay and Hon. Ellen Sarah Morgan, on 24 July 1889.¹ She died on 3 August 1937.¹
     Her married name became Lindsay.

     Lt.-Col. Henry Gore Lindsay was born on 26 August 1830.² He was the son of George Hayward Lindsay and Lady Mary Catherine Gore.² He married Hon. Ellen Sarah Morgan, daughter of Charles Morgan Robinson Morgan, 1st Baron Tredegar and Rosamund Mundy, on 14 May 1856.² He died on 15 December 1914 at age 84.² He was buried at St. Mobhi's Church, Church Avenue, Glasrevin, County Dublin, Ireland^G.³
     He fought in the South African Campaign between 1852 and 1853.² He fought in the Crimean War in 1855.² He fought in the Indian Mutiny in 1857, where he was mentioned in despatches.² He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the Rifle Brigade.² He held the office of Chief Constable of Glamorgan.² He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for County Dublin.² He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of County Dublin.² He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Breconshire.² He lived at Glasnevin House, County Dublin, Ireland^G.¹

Mary Caroline Wyndham was born on 17 November 1870 at Petworth, Sussex, England^G.² She was the daughter of Henry Wyndham, 2nd Baron Leconfield of Leconfield and Lady Constance Evelyn Primrose.^1,3 She married General Sir Frederick Ivor Maxse, son of Admiral Frederick Augustus Maxse and Cecilia Steel, on 18 December 1899 at St. George Hanover Square, London, England^G.^1,2 She died on 21 January 1944 at age 73 at Little Bognor, Fittleworth, Sussex, England^G.²
     Her married name became Maxse.

     Lady Mary Catherine Gore was born in 1806. She was the daughter of Colonel Hon. William John Gore and Caroline Hales.¹ She married George Hayward Lindsay, son of Rt. Rev. Hon. Charles Dalrymple Lindsay and Catherine Eliza Coussmaker, on 3 September 1828.¹ She died on 28 April 1885.¹
     Her married name became Lindsay.

     Rt. Rev. Hon. Charles Dalrymple Lindsay was born on 15 December 1760.¹ He was the son of James Lindsay, 5th Earl of Balcarres and Anne Dalrymple.¹ He married, firstly, Elizabeth Fydell, daughter of Thomas Fydell, on 1 January 1790.¹ He married, secondly, Catherine Eliza Coussmaker, daughter of Evert George Coussmaker and Mary Heyward, on 2 June 1798.¹ He died on 8 August 1846 at age 85.¹
     He graduated with a Doctor of Divinity (D.D.)¹ He held the office of Bishop of Kildare.²

     Catherine Eliza Coussmaker is the daughter of Evert George Coussmaker and Mary Heyward.^1,2 She married Rt. Rev. Hon. Charles Dalrymple Lindsay, son of James Lindsay, 5th Earl of Balcarres and Anne Dalrymple, on 2 June 1798.¹
     Her married name became Lindsay.

     Elizabeth Fydell was the daughter of Thomas Fydell.¹ She married Rt. Rev. Hon. Charles Dalrymple Lindsay, son of James Lindsay, 5th Earl of Balcarres and Anne Dalrymple, on 1 January 1790.¹ She died on 7 February 1797.¹
     Her married name became Lindsay.

     Hon. Robert Lindsay was born on 25 January 1754.² He was the son of James Lindsay, 5th Earl of Balcarres and Anne Dalrymple.¹ He married Elizabeth Dick, daughter of Sir Alexander Dick of Prestonfield, 3rd Bt. and Mary Butler, on 25 November 1788.² He died on 18 May 1836 at age 82.³
     He was with the Honourable East India Company Service.² He lived at Balcarres, Fife, Scotland^G.²
