Colin Campbell was born circa 1703. He was the son of Sir James Campbell of Aberuchill, 2nd Bt. and Jean Dempster.2 He married Catherine Nisbet, daughter of William Nisbet of Dirleton and Jean Bennet, in 1722 at Dirleton, East Lothian, Scotland.1,3 He died circa 1738.4

Sir James Campbell of Aberuchill, 3rd Bt. was born in 1723.1 He was the son of Colin Campbell and Catherine Nisbet.2 He married, secondly, Mary Ann Burn, daughter of Joseph Burn.1 He married, firstly, Margaret Ball, daughter of Captain William Conductor Ball, on 4 March 1754.1 He died in March 1812.1
He fought in the Battle of Fontenoy in 1745, with the Scots Greys.1 He succeeded as the 3rd Baronet Campbell, of Aberuchill [N.S., 1668] on 10 May 1754.1 In 1772 he sold Aberuchill.1 He was he executed an entail of the territorial Barony and estate of Kilbryde in 1800.3
