     Harriot Isabel Kingscote was born on 22 December 1865 at Meerut, Bengal, India^G.³ She was the daughter of Major Fitzhardinge Kingscote and Agnes Grant Stuart.¹ She married Richard Ellis Potter, son of Thomas Bayley Potter and Mary Ashton, on 23 November 1899 at St. Michael's Church, Pimlico, London, England^G.¹ She died on 3 April 1940 at age 74 at Ridgewood, Almondsbury, Gloucestershire, England^G.³
     From 23 November 1899, her married name became Potter.³

     Major Fitzhardinge Kingscote was born on 16 March 1837.¹ He was the son of Colonel Thomas Henry Kingscote and Hon. Harriott Mary Anne Bloomfield.¹ He married Agnes Grant Stuart, daughter of John Stuart and Elizabeth van Renselaer Powell, on 17 July 1863 at Canada^G.^3,1 He died on 9 May 1900 at age 63 at Furbough, County Galway, Ireland^G.^3,1
     He was educated at Harrow School, Harrow, London, England^G.¹ He fought in the Crimean War, losing his right hand at the storming of the Grand Redan.³ He gained the rank of Captain in the 41st Regiment.³ He gained the rank of Captain in the Rifle Brigade.¹ He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for County Mayo.¹ He gained the rank of Honorary Major in the Mayo Militia.¹

     Agnes Grant Stuart was born on 2 May 1838.³ She was the daughter of John Stuart and Elizabeth van Renselaer Powell.^1,3 She married Major Fitzhardinge Kingscote, son of Colonel Thomas Henry Kingscote and Hon. Harriott Mary Anne Bloomfield, on 17 July 1863 at Canada^G.^3,1 She died on 9 August 1921 at age 83 at Ridgewood, Almondsbury, Gloucestershire, England^G.^3,1 She was buried at Alveston, Gloucestershire, England^G.³
