     Rebecca Katharine Best-Shaw was born on 6 December 2002.¹ She is the daughter of Samuel Stevenson Best-Shaw and Elena Arch.¹

     Lucy Ann Best-Shaw was born on 8 May 1961.¹ She is the daughter of Sir John Michael Robert Best-Shaw, 10th Bt. and Jane Gordon Guthrie.¹ She married Terence Wentworth-Wood in 1985.¹ She and Terence Wentworth-Wood were divorced in 1989.¹
     From 1985, her married name became Wentworth-Wood.¹

     Terence Wentworth-Wood married Lucy Ann Best-Shaw, daughter of Sir John Michael Robert Best-Shaw, 10th Bt. and Jane Gordon Guthrie, in 1985.¹ He and Lucy Ann Best-Shaw were divorced in 1989.¹

     Alexander Wentworth-Wood was born in 1985.¹ He is the son of Terence Wentworth-Wood and Lucy Ann Best-Shaw.¹

     Christina Lily Wentworth-Wood was born in 1987.¹ She is the daughter of Terence Wentworth-Wood and Lucy Ann Best-Shaw.¹

     Alice Brooks Davis was the daughter of Hon. Dwight Filley Davis.² She married Roger Mellor Makins, 1st Baron Sherfield, son of Sir Ernest Makins and Maria Florence Mellor, on 30 April 1934.¹ She died in 1985.¹
     From 30 April 1934, her married name became Makins.¹ After her marriage, Alice Brooks Davis was styled as Baroness Sherfield on 29 June 1964.

     Sir Ernest Makins was born on 14 October 1869.² He was the son of Henry Francis Makins and Keziah Elizabeth Hunt.² He married Maria Florence Mellor, daughter of Sir James Robert Mellor, on 31 January 1903.² He died on 18 May 1959 at age 89.²
     He was educated at Winchester College, Winchester, Hampshire, England^G.² He was educated at Christ Church, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England^G.² He fought in the Boer War between 1899 and 1902, where he was mentioned in despatches.² He was awarded the Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.) in 1902.² He fought in the First World War, where he was mentioned in despatches.² He was Temporary Brigadier-General of the Cavalry Brigade in 1914.² He was appointed Companion, Order of the Bath (C.B.) in 1917.² He was awarded the Order of St. Maurice and St. Lazarus of Italy.² He gained the rank of Honorary Brigadier-General in 1919.² He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) (Conservative) for Knutsford between 1922 and 1945.² He was Colonel of the 1st Royal Dragoons between 1931 and 1946.² He was appointed Knight Commander, Order of the British Empire (K.B.E.) in 1938.² He was Colonel of the Palace of Westminster Home Guard between 1940 and 1941 which he raised.²

     Keziah Elizabeth Hunt was the daughter of John Hunt.² She married Henry Francis Makins, son of Charles Makins and Frances Kirkby, on 6 June 1866.¹ She died on 15 October 1918.¹
     From 6 June 1866, her married name became Makins.¹

     Rt. Hon. Sir Edward Knatchbull, 9th Bt. was born on 20 December 1781.¹ He was the son of Sir Edward Knatchbull, 8th Bt. and Mary Hugessen.^3,4 He married, firstly, Annabella Christiana Honywood, daughter of Sir John Honywood, 4th Bt. and Hon. Frances Courtenay, on 25 August 1806.⁵ He married, secondly, Fanny Catherine Knight, daughter of Edward Knight and Elizabeth Bridges, on 24 October 1820.⁵ He died on 24 May 1849 at age 67 at Mersham Hatch, Kent, England^G.⁵ His will was proven (by probate) in July 1849.⁵
     He matriculated at Christ Church, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England^G, on 5 February 1800.⁵ He was admitted to Lincoln's Inn in 1803.⁵ He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Kent between 1819 and 1831.⁵ He succeeded as the 9th Baronet Knatchbull, of Mersham Hatch, co. Kent [E., 1641] on 21 September 1819.⁵ He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for East Kent between 1833 and 1845.⁵ He held the office of Paymaster-General of the Forces between 1834 and 1835.⁵ He was appointed Privy Counsellor (P.C.) on 16 December 1834.⁵ He held the office of Paymaster-General of the Forces between 1841 and 1845.⁵
