Raymond Edward Thicknesse was born on 17 October 1867.1 He was the son of Rt. Rev. Francis Henry Thicknesse and Anne Thicknesse.2 He married Helen Botterill, daughter of Samuel Botterill, on 3 January 1887.1 He died on 21 November 1901 at age 34.1
