     Philip Coldwell Thicknesse was born on 28 January 1860.¹ He was the son of Rt. Rev. Francis Henry Thicknesse and Anne Thicknesse.² He married Clara Margaret Oakley, daughter of Reverend Very John Oakley, on 28 April 1891.¹ He died on 23 February 1920 at age 60..¹
