     Catherine Gurney was born circa 1814.² She was the daughter of Samuel Gurney and Elizabeth Sheppard.^2,3 She married Sir Edward North Buxton, 2nd Bt., son of Sir Thomas Fowell Buxton, 1st Bt. and Hannah Gurney, on 12 April 1836.¹ She died on 11 August 1911.¹
     Her married name became Buxton.

     Samuel Gurney was born on 26 October 1786 at Earlham Hall, Norwich, Norfolk, England^G.^3,4 He was the son of John Gurney and Catherine Bell.^3,4 He married Elizabeth Sheppard, daughter of James Sheppard, on 7 April 1808.⁴ He died on 5 June 1856 at age 69 at Paris, France^G.^3,4 He was buried on 19 June 1855 at Quaker burial ground, Barking, Essex, England.⁵
     He was a partner of Gurneys Bank at Norwich, Norfolk, England.⁶ He lived at Ham House, Essex, England^G.⁷

     Caroline Sheppard was the daughter of Edward Sheppard.¹ She married Rev. Hon. Kenelm Henry Digby, son of Admiral Sir Henry Digby and Lady Jane Elizabeth Coke, on 13 May 1835.¹ She died on 12 December 1866.¹
     Her married name became Digby.

     Edward Sheppard lived at Firgrove, Shropshire, England^G.¹

     Hon. Louisa Henrietta Valdivia O'Neill was the daughter of Edward O'Neill, 2nd Baron O'Neill of Shane's Castle and Lady Louisa Katherine Emma Cochrane.² She married Charles Edward Norman Leith-Hay of Rannes on 22 July 1907.¹ She died on 14 January 1965.¹
     Her married name became Leith-Hay.

     Charles Edward Norman Leith-Hay of Rannes married Hon. Louisa Henrietta Valdivia O'Neill, daughter of Edward O'Neill, 2nd Baron O'Neill of Shane's Castle and Lady Louisa Katherine Emma Cochrane, on 22 July 1907.¹ He died on 25 May 1939.¹
     He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.)¹ He lived at Leith Hall, Aberdeenshire, Scotland^G.¹

     Hon. Rose Anne Mary O'Neill was the daughter of Edward O'Neill, 2nd Baron O'Neill of Shane's Castle and Lady Louisa Katherine Emma Cochrane.² She married Vice-Admiral John William Leopold McClintock, son of Admiral Sir Francis Leopold McClintock and Annette Elizabeth Delap, on 15 January 1920.¹ She died in September 1976.¹
     Her married name became McClintock.

     Vice-Admiral John William Leopold McClintock was born in 1874.² He was the son of Admiral Sir Francis Leopold McClintock and Annette Elizabeth Delap.^1,2 He married Hon. Rose Anne Mary O'Neill, daughter of Edward O'Neill, 2nd Baron O'Neill of Shane's Castle and Lady Louisa Katherine Emma Cochrane, on 15 January 1920.¹ He died on 23 March 1929.¹
     He was awarded the Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.)¹ He was appointed Companion, Order of the Bath (C.B.)¹

     Admiral Sir Francis Leopold McClintock was born on 8 July 1819 at Dundalk, County Louth, Ireland^G.⁴ He was the son of Henry McClintock and Elizabeth Melesina Fleury.^5,4 He married Annette Elizabeth Delap, daughter of Robert Foster Delap and Hon. Anna Elizabeth Skeffington, on 12 October 1870.⁴ He died on 17 November 1907 at age 88.⁴
     He discovered the fate of Sir John Franklin's expedition.⁴ He was appointed Knight Commander, Order of the Bath (K.C.B.)¹

     Hon. Mary Louisa Hermione O'Neill was born on 19 August 1905.¹ She was the daughter of Captain Hon. Arthur Edward Bruce O'Neill and Lady Annabel Hungerford Crewe-Milnes.¹ She married Lt.-Col. Derrick Ernest Frederick Orby Gascoigne, son of Brig.-Gen. Sir Ernest Frederick Orby Gascoigne and Laura Cicely Clive, on 3 April 1934.¹ She died in 1991 at London, England.²
     On 6 December 1929 he was granted the rank of a baron's younger son.¹ Her married name became Gascoigne.
