     Maj.-Gen. Sir Walter Joseph Constable-Maxwell-Scott, 1st Bt. was born on 10 April 1875.2 He was the son of Hon. Joseph Constable-Maxwell-Scott and Mary Monica Hope-Scott.2 He married, firstly, Mairi Richmond Macdougall, daughter of Lt.-Col. Stewart Macdougall of Lunga, on 19 March 1918.2 He married, secondly, Marie Louise St. Paul Logan, daughter of Major John A. Logan, on 19 June 1928.2 He died on 3 April 1954 at age 78.2
     He was educated at Stonyhurst College, Blackburn, Lancashire, England.2 He fought in the Tirah Expedition between 1897 and 1898.2 He fought in the Boer War.2 He fought in the First World War, and was mentioned in despatches six times.2 He was awarded the Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.) in 1915.1 He was awarded the Croix de Guerre.2 He was awarded the Officier, Ordre national de la Légion d'honneur.2 He was awarded the Order of Karageorge of Serbia 4th class.2 He gained the rank of Major-General in the Cameronians.2 He was admitted to the Royal Company of Archers.2 He was appointed Companion, Order of the Bath (C.B.) in 1923.1 He was commanding officer of the 52nd Lowland Divisions (TA) between 1930 and 1934.2 He was created 1st Baronet Constable-Maxwell-Scott [U.K.] on 23 June 1932.2 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.)2 He was awarded the honorary degree of Doctor of Science (D.Sc.) by Fordham University, Bronx, New York City, New York, U.S.A.G, in 1945.2

     Mairi Richmond Macdougall was the daughter of Lt.-Col. Stewart Macdougall of Lunga.1 She married Maj.-Gen. Sir Walter Joseph Constable-Maxwell-Scott, 1st Bt., son of Hon. Joseph Constable-Maxwell-Scott and Mary Monica Hope-Scott, on 19 March 1918.1 She died on 9 October 1924.1
     Her married name became Constable-Maxwell-Scott.

Sir Walter Joseph Constable-Maxwell-Scott, 1st Bt., son of Hon. Joseph Constable-Maxwell-Scott and Mary Monica Hope-Scott, on 19 June 1928.1 She died on 2 October 1969.1
     From before 1928, her married name became de Sinçay.1 Her married name became Constable-Maxwell-Scott.
