(Tory) for Rye between 1775 and 1784.3 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) (Tory) for Guildford between 1784 and 1806.3 He was Out Ranger of Windsor Great Park in 1793.3 He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in 1794 in the Surrey Yeomanry.3 He gained the rank of Colonel between 1797 and 1812 in the Surrey Militia.3 He held the office of Vice-Lord-Lieutenant of Surrey.3 He held the office of High Steward of Guildford.3 He held the office of High Steward of Kingston.3 He succeeded as the 2nd Viscount Cranley of Cranley, co.
