Mary Fitzroy Hobhouse was born on 6 June 1871.1 She was the daughter of Sir Charles Parry Hobhouse, 3rd Bt. and Anna Maria Sawers.2 She married Major Hugh Cochrane Mactier, son of Robert Ferguson MacTier and Anne Stewart Cochrane, on 18 April 1900.1 She died on 25 October 1943 at age 72.1

Sir Charles Chisholm Hobhouse, 6th Bt. was born on 7 December 1906.1 He was the son of Sir Reginald Arthur Hobhouse, 5th Bt. and Marjorie Chisholm Spencer.2 He married, firstly, Mary Park, daughter of John Park, on 27 November 1946.1 He married, secondly, Elspeth Jean Spinney, daughter of Thomas George Spinney, on 18 July 1959.1 He died on 5 January 1991 at age 84 at Bradford-on-Avon, Wiltshire, England.1,3
