Margaret Henderson is the daughter of Sir John Henderson, 5th of Fordell and Margaret Menteith.2 She married, secondly, Peter Hay of Maughton.1 She married, firstly, Sir Henry Wardlaw of Pitreavie, 3rd Bt., son of Sir Henry Wardlaw of Pitreavie, 2nd Bt. and Margaret Bethune, on 9 June 1653.1
Her married name became Hay.1 From 9 June 1653, her married name became Wardlaw.

Sir Henry Wardlaw of Pitreavie, 3rd Bt. was the son of Sir Henry Wardlaw of Pitreavie, 2nd Bt. and Margaret Bethune.2 He married Margaret Henderson, daughter of Sir John Henderson, 5th of Fordell and Margaret Menteith, on 9 June 1653.1 He died before 16 May 1654, without issue.2
He succeeded as the 3rd Baronet Wardlaw, of Pitreavie, Fife [N.S., 1631] on 2 March 1653.1
