     Adam Drummond, 4th of Megginch Castle was the son of John Drummond, 10th of Lennoch, 3rd of Megginch and Bethia Murray.¹ He married Lady Catherine Powlett, daughter of Harry Powlett, 4th Duke of Bolton and Catherine Parry, in 1734.² He died, without issue.¹
     He lived at Megginch, Perthshire, Scotland^G.

     Charles Augustus Ellis, 6th Lord Howard de Walden was born on 5 June 1799.² He was the son of Charles Rose Ellis, 1st Baron Seaford of Seaford and Elizabeth Catherine Caroline Hervey.¹ He married Lady Lucy Joan Scott-Bentinck, daughter of William Henry Cavendish-Scott-Bentinck, 4th Duke of Portland and Henrietta Scott, on 8 November 1828.² He died on 29 August 1868 at age 69.²
     He succeeded as the 6th Lord Howard de Walden [E., 1597] on 8 July 1803.¹ He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England.² He gained the rank of Ensign and Lieutenant in 1815 in the Grenadier Guards.² He gained the rank of Captain in 1822.² He held the office of Parliamentary Under-Secretary for Foreign Affairs in 1824.² He held the office of British Minister to Stockholm in 1832.² He held the office of British Minister to Lisbon between 1833 and 1846.² He was appointed Knight Grand Cross, Order of the Bath (G.C.B.) in 1838.² He succeeded as the 2nd Baron Seaford of Seaford, co. Sussex [U.K., 1826] on 1 July 1845.² He held the office of British Minister to Brussels between 1846 and 1868.² He has an extensive biographical entry in the Dictionary of National Biography.³
     

     Lady Catherine Julia Jenkinson was born on 23 July 1811. She was the daughter of Charles Cecil Cope Jenkinson, 3rd Earl of Liverpool and Julia Evelyn Medley Shuckburgh-Evelyn.² She married Colonel Francis Vernon-Harcourt, son of Most Rev. and Rt. Hon. Edward Vernon-Harcourt and Lady Anne Leveson-Gower, on 20 November 1837.¹ She died on 5 December 1877 at age 66, without issue.¹
     From 20 November 1837, her married name became Vernon-Harcourt.

     John Cotes was born circa 1800 at Sherriffhales, Shropshire, England.² He was the son of John Cotes and Lady Maria Booth Grey.³ He married Lady Louisa Harriet Jenkinson, daughter of Charles Cecil Cope Jenkinson, 3rd Earl of Liverpool and Julia Evelyn Medley Shuckburgh-Evelyn, on 5 September 1839.¹ He died in 1874.²
     He lived at Woodcote Hall, Shropshire, England^G.¹

     John Hervey, 2nd Baron Hervey of Ickworth was born on 15 October 1696 at Jermyn Street, London, England^G.¹ He was the son of John Hervey, 1st Earl of Bristol and Elizabeth Felton.¹ He was baptised on 25 October 1696 at Jermyn Street, London, England^G.¹ He married Mary Lepell, daughter of Brig.-Gen. Nicholas Lepell and Mary Brooke, on 29 October 1720.³ He died on 5 August 1743 at age 46.¹ He was buried on 12 August 1743 at Ickworth, Suffolk, England^G.¹
     He matriculated at Clare Hall, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England^G, on 9 November 1713.¹ He graduated from Clare Hall, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England^G, in 1715 with a Master of Arts (M.A.)¹ He was styled as Lord Hervey between 1723 and 1743.¹ He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) (Whig) for Bury St. Edmunds between 1725 and 1733.¹ He held the office of Vice-Chamberlain of the Household between 1730 and 1740.¹ He was appointed Privy Counsellor (P.C.) on 8 May 1730.¹ He succeeded as the 2nd Baron Hervey of Ickworth, Suffolk [E., 1703] on 11 June 1733, summoned to Parliament in his father's place.¹ He wrote the book Memoirs.⁴ He held the office of Lord Privy Seal between 1 May 1740 and 1742.¹ He held the office of Lord Justice of the Realm in May 1741.¹
     Caroline, the Queen Consort, thought that "he was particularly agreeable, as he helped to enliven the uniformity of a Court with sprightly repatrees and lively sallies of wit."¹ His father blamed his ill-health on "that detestable and poisonous plant, tea, which had once brought him to death's door, and if persisted in would carry him through it."¹

     Mary Lepell was born on 26 September 1700.³ She was the daughter of Brig.-Gen. Nicholas Lepell and Mary Brooke.¹ She married John Hervey, 2nd Baron Hervey of Ickworth, son of John Hervey, 1st Earl of Bristol and Elizabeth Felton, on 29 October 1720.⁴ She died on 2 September 1768 at age 67.¹ She was buried on 9 September 1768 at Ickworth, Suffolk, England^G.¹
     She held the office of Maid of Honour to the Princess of Wales in 1720.¹ Her married name became Hervey. After her marriage, Mary Lepell was styled as Baroness Hervey of Ickworth on 11 June 1733.
     Hemphrey Prideaux wrote a poem[CR][BR] "For Venus, sure, never saw bedded [CR][BR]So comely a Beau and a Belle ,[CR][BR]As when Hervey, the Handsome, was wedded [CR][BR]To the beautiful Molly Lepell."¹

     Brig.-Gen. Nicholas Lepell held the office of Groom of the Bedchamber to George, Prince of Denmark.¹

     Elizabeth Felton was born on 18 December 1676.¹ She was the daughter of Sir Thomas Felton, 4th Bt. and Lady Elizabeth Howard.^1,3 She married John Hervey, 1st Earl of Bristol, son of Sir Thomas Hervey and Isabella May, on 25 July 1695 at Boxted Hall, Suffolk, England^G.¹ She died on 1 May 1741 at age 64 at St. James's Park, St. James's, London, England^G, in a fit.^1,4 She was buried on 9 May 1741 at Ickworth, Suffolk, England^G.¹ Her will was proven (by probate) on 8 May 1741.¹
     She held the office of Lady of the Bedchamber to Caroline, the Queen Consort.¹ In 1691 she uncuccessfully claimed the Barony of Howard de Walden.³ Her married name became Hervey. After her marriage, Elizabeth Felton was styled as Baroness Hervey of Ickworth on 23 March 1702/3.¹ After her marriage, Elizabeth Felton was styled as Countess of Bristol on 19 October 1714. Her last will was dated 5 December 1740.
     Lady Mary Montagu wrote that "the Countess has come out a new creature... is grown young, blooming, coquette and gallant, and to show she is fully sensible of the errors of her past life, and resolved to make up for time misspent, she has two lovers at a time."¹

     John Hervey, 1st Earl of Bristol was born on 27 August 1665.¹ He was the son of Sir Thomas Hervey and Isabella May.¹ He was baptised on 29 September 1665 at Bury St. Edmunds, Suffolk, England^G.¹ He married, firstly, Isabella Carr, daughter of Rt. Hon. Sir Robert Carr, 3rd Bt. and Elizabeth Bennet, on 1 November 1688 at St. Martin-in-the-Fields, Covent Garden, London, England^G.³ He married, secondly, Elizabeth Felton, daughter of Sir Thomas Felton, 4th Bt. and Lady Elizabeth Howard, on 25 July 1695 at Boxted Hall, Suffolk, England^G.³ He died on 20 January 1750/51 at age 85.³ He was buried on 27 January 1750/51 at Ickworth, Suffolk, England^G.³ His will was proven (by probate) on 23 February 1750/51.³

     Lord Hervey wrote "he is a judicious, dispassionate, just, humane, and thoroughly amiable man, and has lived long enough in the world to have this character of him (though given by his son) uncontroverted by anyone else."³

     Isabella Carr was born on 20 January 1669/70.¹ She was the daughter of Rt. Hon. Sir Robert Carr, 3rd Bt. and Elizabeth Bennet.¹ She married John Hervey, 1st Earl of Bristol, son of Sir Thomas Hervey and Isabella May, on 1 November 1688 at St. Martin-in-the-Fields, Covent Garden, London, England^G.¹ She died on 7 March 1692/93 at age 23, in childbed.¹ She was buried on 16 March 1692/93 at Ickworth, Suffolk, England^G.¹
     Her married name became Hervey.
