     Margherita van Raalte was born in 1890.2 She was the daughter of Charles van Raalte and Florence Clow.1,2 She married Thomas Evelyn Scott-Ellis, 8th Lord Howard de Walden, son of Frederick George Ellis, 7th Lord Howard de Walden and Blanche Holden, on 19 February 1912.3 She died on 31 December 1974.3
     From 19 February 1912, her married name became Ellis. After her marriage, Margherita van Raalte was styled as Baroness Seaford of Seaford on 19 February 1912. She was appointed Commander, Order of the British Empire (C.B.E.)3 She was appointed Dame of Grace, Most Venerable Order of the Hospital of St. John of Jerusalem (D.St.J.)3 She was appointed Fellow, Royal Geographical Society (F.R.G.S.)3

     Alice Sedgwick Mankiewicz was the daughter of James Mankiewicz.1 She married, firstly, Sir Julius Charles Wernher, 1st Bt., son of Frederick August Wernher and Elizabeth Weldenbusch, on 12 June 1888.3 She married, secondly, Henry Ludlow Lopes, 2nd Baron Ludlow, son of Henry Charles Lopes, 1st Baron Ludlow and Cordelia Lucy Clark, on 25 September 1919.1 She died on 30 November 1945.
     From 12 June 1888, her married name became Wernher. From 25 September 1919, her married name became Lopes. After her marriage, Alice Sedgwick Mankiewicz was styled as Baroness Ludlow on 25 September 1919. She was appointed Dame of Grace, Most Venerable Order of the Hospital of St. John of Jerusalem (D.G.St.J.)1 She held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.)4

     Sir Julius Charles Wernher, 1st Bt. was born on 9 April 1850.2 He was the son of Frederick August Wernher and Elizabeth Weldenbusch.2 He married Alice Sedgwick Mankiewicz, daughter of James Mankiewicz, on 12 June 1888.2 He died on 21 May 1912 at age 62.2
     He was Crown Governor at Imperial College of Science, Technology, London, England.2 He was created 1st Baronet Wernher, of Lutton Hoo Park, co. Bedford [U.K.] on 2 August 1905.3

     Rev. Hon. William Charles Ellis was born on 22 July 1835.2 He was the son of Charles Augustus Ellis, 6th Lord Howard de Walden and Lady Lucy Joan Scott-Bentinck.2 He married Henrietta Elizabeth Ames, daughter of Henry Metcalfe Ames, on 16 December 1873.2 He died on 20 June 1923 at age 87.2
     He graduated from Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England, with a Master of Arts (M.A.)2 He was Rector at Bothal, Morpeth, Northumberland, England.2

     He graduated from Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England.1 He was a practising barrister.1 He fought in the First World War.1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the Royal Army Service Corps.1
