     William Jackson Cummins was born in 1828.² He was the son of Robert King Cummins and Mary Jackson.² He married, firstly, Mary Elizabeth Thorn Connell, daughter of Joseph Connell, on 8 November 1853.² He married, secondly, Elizabeth Henrietta Poole, daughter of Thomas Poole, on 6 June 1863.² He married, thirdly, Letitia Stevenson, daughter of James Stevenson, on 5 July 1870.² He died on 20 March 1893.²

     Una Jane Cummins was born in 1875.² She was the daughter of William Jackson Cummins and Letitia Stevenson.² She married Edward Hume Townshend, son of Reverend Horace Webb Townshend and Annie Crawford, in 1900.¹ She died in 1937.¹
     From 1900, her married name became Townshend.
