     Sarah Dunlop was born on 15 August 1965.¹ She is the daughter of Dr. Francis Ninian Dunlop and Elizabeth Anna Le Fanu.²

     Nicola Frances Le Fanu was born on 28 April 1947.¹ She is the daughter of William Richard Le Fanu and Elizabeth Violet Maconchy.²
     She graduated from St. Hilda's College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England^G, with a Master of Arts (M.A.)¹ She was a Harkness Fellow between 1973 and 1974 at Harvard University, Cambridge, Massachusetts, U.S.A.^G.¹ She was the composer.¹

     Michel Le Fanu died on 13 January 1576.¹
     He was a practising Advocate.¹ He lived at Caen, Normandy, France^G.¹ He graduated from Caen University, Caen, Normandy, France^G, in 1536 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)¹

     Etienne Le Fanu, Seigneur de Montbénard was the son of Michel Le Fanu.² He married Claude Laisné, daughter of Denis Laisné, on 11 November 1576.¹ He died in May 1616.¹
     He was a practising Advocate of Caen Bench.¹ In 1595 he was ennobled by King Henri IV of France.¹

     Claude Laisné is the daughter of Denis Laisné.² She married Etienne Le Fanu, Seigneur de Montbénard, son of Michel Le Fanu, on 11 November 1576.¹
     From 11 November 1576, her married name became Le Fanu.¹

     Pierre Le Fanu, Seigneur de Montbénard was baptised on 10 July 1580.¹ He was the son of Etienne Le Fanu, Seigneur de Montbénard and Claude Laisné.² He married Anne Le Hulle, daughter of Jean Le Hulle and Anne Le Clerc, circa 30 March 1614.¹ He died in 1627.¹
     On 18 January 1618 he purchased the noble fief of Cresserons.¹

     Michel Le Fanu was baptised on 6 March 1583.¹ He was the son of Etienne Le Fanu, Seigneur de Montbénard and Claude Laisné.²

     Jacques Le Fanu was baptised on 18 March 1584.¹ He was the son of Etienne Le Fanu, Seigneur de Montbénard and Claude Laisné.²

     Etienne Le Fanu was baptised on 24 March 1585.¹ He was the son of Etienne Le Fanu, Seigneur de Montbénard and Claude Laisné.² He died on 15 May 1613 at age 28.¹
