George John Milles, 4th Baron Sondes was born on 20 January 1794.1 He was the son of Lewis Thomas Watson, 2nd Baron Sondes and Mary Elizabeth Milles.2 He married Eleanor Knatchbull, daughter of Sir Edward Knatchbull, 8th Bt. and Mary Hawkins, on 24 July 1823.3 He died on 17 December 1874 at age 80.1
He was given the name of George John Watson at birth.1 In 1821 his name was legally changed to George John Milles by Royal Licence.1 He succeeded as the 4th Baron Sondes, of Lees Court, co. Kent [G.B., 1760] on 14 March 1836.1
