Laura Markham was born on 14 March 1804.2 She was the daughter of William Markham and Elizabeth Bowles.1 She was baptised on 19 April 1804 at Aberford, Yorkshire, England.2 She married Colonel William Mure of Caldwell, son of William Mure of Caldwell and Anne Hunter Blair, on 7 February 1825.3 She died on 12 April 1876 at age 72 at Tunbridge Wells, Kent, England.2
