     Grace Modyford is the daughter of Sir James Modyford, 1st Bt. and Elizabeth Slanning.¹ She married, firstly, Edward Drake.¹ She married, secondly, Colonel Peter Heywood on 2 February 1681/82.¹
     Her married name became Drake.¹ From 2 February 1681/82, her married name became Heywood.¹

     Sir James Modyford, 1st Bt. was the son of unknown Modyford. He married Elizabeth Slanning, daughter of Sir Nicholas Slanning and Gertrude Bagge. He died circa 10 January 1672/73.¹
     He held the office of Lieutenant-Governor of Jamaica.¹ He gained the title of 1st Baronet Modyford.

     Edward Drake married Grace Modyford, daughter of Sir James Modyford, 1st Bt. and Elizabeth Slanning.¹ He died on 5 October 1680.¹
