     Jane Gordon Inglis was the daughter of James Inglis.2 She married Maj.-Gen. Lynch Stapleton Cotton, son of General Sir Sydney John Cotton and Marianne Hackett, on 20 March 1855.1 She died on 8 January 1923.1
     From 20 March 1855, her married name became Cotton.

     Major Stapleton Lynch Cotton was born on 15 January 1860.1 He was the son of Maj.-Gen. Lynch Stapleton Cotton and Jane Gordon Inglis.2 He died on 3 May 1928 at age 68.1
     He fought in the Afghan War.1 He fought in the Burma War.1 He gained the rank of Major in the King's Liverpool Regiment.1 He fought in the Boer Wars, where he was severely wounded.1 He fought in the First World War.1

     Reverend Richard Lynch Cotton was born on 14 August 1794.1 He was the son of Henry Calveley Cotton and Matilda Lockwood.2 He married Charlotte Bouverie-Pusey, daughter of Hon. Philip Bouverie-Pusey and Lady Lucy Sherard, on 25 June 1839.1 He died on 8 December 1880 at age 86.1
     He was the Provost at Worcester College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, EnglandG.1 He graduated with a Doctor of Divinity (D.D.)1

     Charles Robert Cotton was born on 22 November 1796.1 He was the son of Henry Calveley Cotton and Matilda Lockwood.2 He married Mary Anne Elizabeth Egerton, daughter of Rev. Sir Philip Grey-Egerton, 9th Bt. and Rebecca du Pré, on 26 May 1841.1 He died on 18 May 1873 at age 76.1
     He lived at Knolton Hall, Flintshire, WalesG.1 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.)1

     Rev. Sir Philip Grey-Egerton, 9th Bt. was born on 6 July 1767.1 He was the son of Philip Egerton and Mary Eyles-Styles.2 He married Rebecca du Pré, daughter of Josia du Pré, in 1804.1 He died on 12 December 1829 at age 62.1
     He was also known as Philip Egerton.2 He was also known as Philip Grey-Egerton by Royal Licence as of 1825.2 He succeeded as the 9th Baronet Egerton, of Egerton and Oulton, co. Chester [E., 1617] on 24 May 1825.1 He was the Rector at Taporley, Cheshire, EnglandG.1
