     Francis Egerton Cotton was born on 7 August 1849.¹ He was the son of Charles Robert Cotton and Mary Anne Elizabeth Egerton.² He married Helen Louisa Muriel Mostyn-Owen, daughter of Captain Francis Mostyn-Owen and Hon. Georgiana Noel-Hill, on 8 May 1879.¹ He died on 27 October 1923 at age 74.¹
     He gained the rank of Major in the Denbighsire Imperial Yeomanry.¹

     Captain Francis Mostyn-Owen was born in 1815.² He was the son of William Mostyn-Owen and Harriet Elizabeth Gordon-Cumming.² He married Hon. Georgiana Noel-Hill, daughter of Richard Noel-Hill, 4th Baron Berwick of Attingham and Frances Maria Mostyn-Owen, on 22 July 1845.²

     Helen Louisa Muriel Mostyn-Owen was the daughter of Captain Francis Mostyn-Owen and Hon. Georgiana Noel-Hill.^2,3 She married Francis Egerton Cotton, son of Charles Robert Cotton and Mary Anne Elizabeth Egerton, on 8 May 1879.¹ She died on 18 July 1910.¹
     From 8 May 1879, her married name became Cotton.

     Gilbert Francis Egerton Cotton was born on 14 March 1880.¹ He was the son of Francis Egerton Cotton and Helen Louisa Muriel Mostyn-Owen.² He married Nora Williams, daughter of Matthew Williams, on 22 December 1913.¹ He died in 1971.¹
     He gained the rank of Major in the Denbighsire Imperial Yeomanry.¹

     Matthew Williams lived at Whiston Hall, Albrighton, Shropshire, England^G.¹

     Nora Williams was the daughter of Matthew Williams.² She married Gilbert Francis Egerton Cotton, son of Francis Egerton Cotton and Helen Louisa Muriel Mostyn-Owen, on 22 December 1913.¹ She died on 11 November 1956.¹
     From 22 December 1913, her married name became Cotton.
