     Nesta Jessie Lindsay was born on 23 May 1898.¹ She was the daughter of Henry Edzell Morgan Lindsay and Ellen Katherine Thomas.¹ She married S/Ldr. Gerald Towell Stoneham, son of Frederic Stoneham, on 22 July 1927.¹ She died on 11 June 1957 at age 59, without issue.¹
     Her married name became Stoneham. She was appointed Member, Order of the British Empire (M.B.E.) in 1943.¹ She was appointed Officer, Most Venerable Order of the Hospital of St. John of Jerusalem (O.St.J.)¹

     S/Ldr. Gerald Towell Stoneham is the son of Frederic Stoneham.¹ He married Nesta Jessie Lindsay, daughter of Henry Edzell Morgan Lindsay and Ellen Katherine Thomas, on 22 July 1927.¹
     He lived at Kitale, Kenya^G.¹ He gained the rank of Squadron Leader in the Royal Air Force.¹

     Janet Erskine was the daughter of Sir William Erskine. She married William Alexander, 1st Earl of Stirling, son of Alexander Alexander of Menstrie, on 3 January 1601.¹ She died after 10 May 1649.
     Her married name became Alexander. After her marriage, Janet Erskine was styled as Viscountess Stirling on 4 September 1630. After her marriage, Janet Erskine was styled as Countess of Stirling on 14 June 1633.

     Sir William Erskine was the son of James Erskine of Little Saudie.

     James Erskine of Little Saudie was the son of Robert Erskine, 4th Lord Erskine and Isabel Campbell.¹
     He lived at Little Saudie^G.

     Robert Erskine, 4th Lord Erskine was the son of Alexander Erskine, 3rd Lord Erskine and Christian Crichton.^2,3 He married Isabel Campbell, daughter of Sir George Campbell of Loudoun and Agnes Kennedy, circa 1485.² He died on 9 September 1513, killed in action.³
     He succeeded as the 4th Lord Erskine [S., 1438] from 10 March 1507/8 to 10 May 1509.⁴ He succeeded as the 16th Earl of Mar [S., c. 1115] from 10 March 1507/8 to 10 May 1509, de jure.¹ He fought in the Battle of Flodden on 9 September 1513.³

     Lady Caroline Stuart was born in May 1750.³ She was the daughter of John Stuart, 3rd Earl of Bute and Mary Wortley-Montagu, Baroness Mount Stuart of Wortley.¹ She married John Dawson, 1st Earl of Portarlington, son of William Henry Dawson, 1st Viscount Carlow and Mary Damer, on 1 January 1778.¹ She died on 20 January 1813 at age 62.¹
     Her married name became Dawson. After her marriage, Lady Caroline Stuart was styled as Viscountess Carlow on 22 August 1779. After her marriage, Lady Caroline Stuart was styled as Countess Portarlington on 21 June 1785.

     Edward Wortley-Montagu was born on 8 February 1678.² He was the son of Hon. Sydney Wortley-Montagu and Anne Wortley.² He and Lady Mary Pierrepont obtained a marriage license on 12 August 1715.³ He died in 1761.³
     He held the office of a Lord of Treasury.³ He held the office of Ambassador to the Ottoman Empire.³ He lived at Wortley, Yorkshire, England^G.¹

     Brendon Bostwick Gore was born on 8 September 1955.¹ He is the son of Major Humphry Gerard Napier Gore and Leslie Marshall Peabody.¹ He married Helen Elizabeth Merker, daughter of P. A. Merker, in 1990.¹
