     Lt.-Col. Alexander Haldane Farquharson of Invercauld was born on 12 March 1867.¹ He was the son of Lt.-Col. James Ross Farquharson of Invercauld and Elizabeth Louisa Oswald.² He married Zoë Caroline Musgrave, daughter of Sir Richard Courtenay Musgrave, 11th Bt. and Adora Frances Olga Wells, on 16 January 1893.¹ He died on 17 March 1936 at age 69.¹
     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England^G. He graduated from Christ Church, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England^G, in 1888 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)¹ He gained the rank of Lieutenant in 1889 in the 10th Hussars.¹ He gained the rank of Major in the 10th (Service) Battalion, Gordon Highlanders.¹ He held the office of Member of the Aberdeenshire County Council between 1897 and 1935.¹ He was Lieutenant-Colonel of the 7th Battalion, Gordon Highlanders between 1905 and 1910.¹ He fought in the First World War between 1915 and 1918, in France.¹ He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.)¹ He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) in 1921.¹ He lived at Braemar Castle, Scotland^G.¹

     Zoë Caroline Musgrave was born on 12 October 1871.² She was the daughter of Sir Richard Courtenay Musgrave, 11th Bt. and Adora Frances Olga Wells.² She married Lt.-Col. Alexander Haldane Farquharson of Invercauld, son of Lt.-Col. James Ross Farquharson of Invercauld and Elizabeth Louisa Oswald, on 16 January 1893.¹ She died on 23 December 1929 at age 58.²
     Her married name became Farquharson.

     Sir Richard Courtenay Musgrave, 11th Bt. was born on 21 August 1838.² He was the son of Sir George Musgrave, 10th Bt. and Charlotte Graham.³ He married Adora Frances Olga Wells, daughter of Peter Wells and Adora Julia Lethbridge, on 17 January 1867.^1,2 He died on 13 February 1881 at age 42.²
     He held the office of Lord-Lieutenant of Westmorland.² He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.)³ He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for East Cumberland.² He gained the rank of officer in the 71st Highland Light Infantry.² He succeeded as the 11th Baronet Musgrave, of Hartley Castle, Westmorland [E., 1611] on 29 December 1872.²

     Myrtle Farquharson of Invercauld was born in 1897.¹ She was the daughter of Lt.-Col. Alexander Haldane Farquharson of Invercauld and Zoë Caroline Musgrave.² She married Robin Emile Frederick Regis d'Erlanger, Baron d'Erlanger, son of Baron Emile Beaumont d'Erlanger, on 9 July 1925.¹ She died on 11 May 1941, killed by enemy action.¹
     From 9 July 1925, her married name became d'Erlanger.¹ She was recognised by Lord Lyon King of Arms, and matriculated her arms at the Lyons Court on 3 December 1936.¹ As of 3 December 1936, Myrtle Farquharson of Invercauld used the pen-name of Myrtle Farquharson of Invercauld.¹

     Robin Emile Frederick Regis d'Erlanger, Baron d'Erlanger was the son of Baron Emile Beaumont d'Erlanger.¹ He married Myrtle Farquharson of Invercauld, daughter of Lt.-Col. Alexander Haldane Farquharson of Invercauld and Zoë Caroline Musgrave, on 9 July 1925.¹ He died on 13 October 1934.
     He was awarded the Military Cross (M.C.)¹ He gained the title of Baron d' Erlanger.

     Zoë Caroline Georgia d'Erlanger, Baroness d'Erlanger was born on 2 February 1930.¹ She was the daughter of Robin Emile Frederick Regis d'Erlanger, Baron d'Erlanger and Myrtle Farquharson of Invercauld.² She married Paul Cater Hyde-Thomson, son of Robert Hyde Hyde-Thomson and Joan Perronet Sells, on 26 October 1950.¹ She died on 27 September 2021 at age 91.³
     She gained the title of Baroness d' Erlanger. She was educated at Longstowe Hall, Longstowe, Cambridgeshire, England^G.¹ She was educated at St. Anne's College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England^G.¹ From 26 October 1950, her married name became Hyde-Thomson. She held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) in 1972.¹ She lived in 2003 at The Stable House, North Kilworth, Lutterworth, Leicestershire, England^G.¹

     Sydney Dawson lived at Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England^G.¹

     Louisa Elizabeth Farquharson was born on 11 November 1868.² She was the daughter of Lt.-Col. James Ross Farquharson of Invercauld and Elizabeth Louisa Oswald.³ She died on 17 October 1942 at age 73, unmarried.² She was buried at Braemar Kirkyard, Braemar, Aberdeenshire, Scotland^G.²
     She was educated at France^G.¹ She was Chief of the Gaelic Society of London in 1908.¹

     Alfred Ferdinand Christoph Graf von Degenfeld-Schonburg was born on 19 July 1826. He was the son of Christoph Martin Maximilian Friedrich Graf von Degenfeld-Schonburg and Charlotte Gräfin von Durckheim-Montmartin. He married Anna Baronin von Hugel on 19 October 1864 at Unterturkheim^G. He died on 2 January 1906 at age 79.
