Commander Gerald Maxwell Braddon Selous was the son of Gerald Holgate Selous.1 He married Miranda Casey, daughter of Dermot Armstrong Casey and Gwynnedd M. Browne, on 16 August 1952.1 He married Rhodanthe Winnaretta Leeds, daughter of Sir Reginald Arthur St. John Leeds, 6th Bt. and Winnaretta Singer, in 1991.2 He died on 10 April 2007.3
He was awarded the Royal Naval Volunteer Reserve Officers' Decoration (V.R.D.)1 He gained the rank of Commander in the Royal Naval Reserve.1 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.)2 He graduated with a Bachelor of Medicine (M.B.)3 He was appointed Officer, Order of the British Empire (O.B.E.)2
