     Colonel Patrick Alexander Vansittart Stewart was the son of Lt.-Gen. John Mackie Stewart and Florence Vansittart. He married Mildred Annie Ferrers-Guy, daughter of Tom Ferrers-Guy, on 3 August 1911.1 He died on 13 July 1960.
     He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.)1 He was appointed Commander, Order of the British Empire (C.B.E.)1 He was awarded the Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.)1 He gained the rank of Colonel in the KIng's Own Scottish Borderers.1
