     Sir John William Pitt Muir Mackenzie was born on 19 March 1854.1 He was the son of Sir John William Pitt Muir Mackenzie of Delvine, 2nd Bt. and Sophia Matilda Johnstone.2 He was baptised on 12 April 1854 at Caputh, Perthshire, ScotlandG.3 He married, firstly, Fanny Louisa Johnstone, daughter of Lt.-Gen. Montague Cholmeley Johnstone and Leonora Louisa Somerset, on 2 August 1876.1 He married, secondly, Rhoda Watson, daughter of William Watson, on 16 July 1898.1 He married, thirdly, Mary Therese Villiers-Stuart, daughter of Henry Windsor Villiers-Stuart and Mary Power, on 16 February 1904.1 He died on 25 October 1916 at age 62.1
     He was in the Indian Civil Service between 1874 and 1910.1 He was appointed Knight Commander, Order of the Star of India (K.C.S.I.)1 He held the office of Commissioner of Sind in 1904.1 He held the office of Member of the Council of Bombay between 1905 and 1910.1 He was Acting Governor of Bombay
in 1907.1

Montague Cholmeley Johnstone and Leonora Louisa Somerset.2 She married Sir John William Pitt Muir Mackenzie, son of Sir John William Pitt Muir Mackenzie of Delvine, 2nd Bt. and Sophia Matilda Johnstone, on 2 August 1876.1 She died on 24 September 1895.1
     From 2 August 1876, her married name became Muir Mackenzie.1

Montague Cholmeley Johnstone was born on 2 March 1804.2 He was the son of James Raymond Johnstone of Alva and Mary Elizabeth Cholmeley.2 He married Leonora Louisa Somerset, daughter of Lt.-Gen. Sir Henry Somerset and Frances Sarah Heathcote, on 31 December 1844.2 He died on 22 September 1874 at age 70.2
     He fought in the Kaffir War between 1846 and 1851.2 He fought in the Indian Mutiny.2

     From 16 July 1898, her married name became Muir Mackenzie.1

     Her married name became Johnstone.

     He gained the rank of Admiral of the Blue.2
