Mary Augusta Dalrymple Poltoratskaya was born in 1794 at St. Petersburg, Russia.2 She was the daughter of General Alexander Markovitch Poltoratsky and Maria Gascoigne.1,3 She married, firstly, Francis James Adam, son of Rt. Hon. William Adam of Blair and Hon. Eleanor Elphinstone, on 11 August 1817.1 She married, secondly, Reverend Richard Lister Venables on 6 February 1834.1 She died on 5 October 1865 at Llysdinam, Newbridge-on-Wye, Breconshire, Wales.1
