     He was founder of the pioneer house of Murphy, Grant & Co.² He lived at San Francisco, California, U.S.A.¹ His last will was dated 15 May 1883.²

     Anna Theresa Murphy was the daughter of Daniel T. Murphy.² She married Sir Charles Michael Wolseley, 9th Bt., son of Sir Charles Wolseley, 8th Bt. and Mary Anne Selby, on 18 July 1883.¹ She died on 11 October 1937.¹
     From 18 July 1883, her married name became Wolseley.

     Thomas Savill Carter was born in 1849 at Saffron Walden, Essex, England.¹ He was the son of Reverend Thomas Garden Carter and Louisa Harvey Savill Onley.¹ He died in 1882 at Lambeth, London, England.¹

     William Ralph Joseph Wolseley was born on 1 July 1887.¹ He was the son of Sir Charles Michael Wolseley, 9th Bt. and Anna Theresa Murphy.² He married Ruth Gertrude Hargreaves, daughter of Lt.-Col. Robert Halstead Hargreaves, on 10 November 1923.¹ He died in 1977.¹
     He fought in the First World War, where he was mentioned in dispatches.¹ He gained the rank of Captain in the Staffordshire Yeomanry.¹ He was awarded the Territorial Decoration (T.D.)¹ He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Shropshire in 1939.¹ He gained the rank of officer in 1942 in the Royal Pioneer Corps.¹

     Ruth Gertrude Hargreaves was the daughter of Lt.-Col. Robert Halstead Hargreaves.² She married William Ralph Joseph Wolseley, son of Sir Charles Michael Wolseley, 9th Bt. and Anna Theresa Murphy, on 10 November 1923.¹ She died on 7 December 1962.¹
     From 10 November 1923, her married name became Wolseley.

     Robert William Hargreaves Wolseley was born on 13 December 1924.¹ He was the son of William Ralph Joseph Wolseley and Ruth Gertrude Hargreaves.² He married Beryl Marjorie Harvey, daughter of Frederick George Harvey, on 24 July 1965.¹ He died on 17 January 1998 at age 73.¹
     He was educated at Canford School, Wimborne, Dorset, England.¹ He fought in the Second World War in 1942.¹ He gained the rank of officer in 1942 in the Grenadier Guards and Royal Fusiliers.¹

     Frederick George Harvey lived at Woodside, Pitsminster, Taunton, Somerset, England.¹
