     Hon. Sir Charles Hibbert Tupper was born on 3 August 1855.1 He was the son of Sir Charles Tupper, 1st Bt. and Frances Amelia Morse.2 He married Janet Macdonald, daughter of Hon. James Macdonald, on 9 September 1879.1 He died on 30 March 1927 at age 71.1
     He graduated from Harvard University, Cambridge, Massachusetts, U.S.A., with a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.)1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) [Nova Scotia] in 1882, Picton.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) [Nova Scotia] in 1887, Picton.1 He was appointed King's Counsel (K.C.) [Canada]1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) [Nova Scotia] in 1888, Picton.1 He held the office of Minister of Marine and Fisheries [Nova Scotia] between 1888 and 1894.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.)      Janet Macdonald was the daughter of Hon. James Macdonald.2 She married Hon. Sir Charles Hibbert Tupper, son of Sir Charles Tupper, 1st Bt. and Frances Amelia Morse, on 9 September 1879.1 She died on 1 June 1935.1
     From 9 September 1879, her married name became Tupper. She was appointed Dame of Grace, Order of St. John of Jerusalem (D.G.St.J.)1

Sir Charles Tupper, 3rd Bt.1

     Sir Charles Tupper, 3rd Bt. was born on 10 December 1880.1 He was the son of Hon. Sir Charles Hibbert Tupper and Janet Macdonald.2 He married Mary Mira Douglas Dickey, daughter of Hon. Arthur R. Dickey, on 12 April 1910.1 He died on 19 June 1962 at age 81.1
     He graduated from McGill University, Montreal, Quebec, Canada, in 1901 with a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.)1 He fought in the First World War, where he was mentioned in dispatches.1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the 72nd Battalion, Seaforths of Canada and 11th Canadian MR.1 He gained the rank of Major in the 11th Canadian Railway Troops.1 He was a civil engineer.1 He succeeded as the 3rd Baronet Tupper, of Armdale, Halifax, Nova Scotia [U.K., 1888] on 16 July 1960.1
