     Janet Macdonald was the daughter of Hon. James Macdonald.² She married Hon. Sir Charles Hibbert Tupper, son of Sir Charles Tupper, 1st Bt. and Frances Amelia Morse, on 9 September 1879.¹ She died on 1 June 1935.¹
     From 9 September 1879, her married name became Tupper. She was appointed Dame of Grace, Order of St. John of Jerusalem (D.G.St.J.)¹

     Sir Charles Tupper, 3rd Bt. was born on 10 December 1880.¹ He was the son of Hon. Sir Charles Hibbert Tupper and Janet Macdonald.² He married Mary Mira Douglas Dickey, daughter of Hon. Arthur R. Dickey, on 12 April 1910.¹ He died on 19 June 1962 at age 81.¹
     He graduated from McGill University, Montreal, Quebec, Canada, in 1901 with a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.)¹ He fought in the First World War, where he was mentioned in dispatches.¹ He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the 72nd Battalion, Seaforths of Canada and 11th Canadian MR.¹ He gained the rank of Major in the 11th Canadian Railway Troops.¹ He was a civil engineer.¹ He succeeded as the 3rd Baronet Tupper, of Armdale, Halifax, Nova Scotia [U.K., 1888] on 16 July 1960.¹

     Hon. Arthur R. Dickey was appointed Queen's Counsel (Q.C.) [Nova Scotia]¹ He lived at Amherst, Nova Scotia, Canada.¹

     Mary Mira Douglas Dickey is the daughter of Hon. Arthur R. Dickey.² She married Sir Charles Tupper, 3rd Bt., son of Hon. Sir Charles Hibbert Tupper and Janet Macdonald, on 12 April 1910.¹
     From 12 April 1910, her married name became Tupper.

     Philip Lionel Underwood is the son of Harry Lionel Underwood.¹ He married Janet Macdonald Tupper, daughter of Sir Charles Tupper, 3rd Bt. and Mary Mira Douglas Dickey, on 22 December 1944.¹
     He gained the rank of Captain in the Royal Canadian Artillery.¹
