     He was educated at Balliol College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England.¹

     Ann Bawden was the daughter of Sir John Bawden.² She married Halliday Mildmay, son of Henry Mildmay and Alice Bramston.¹ She died between 20 July 1698 and 15 February 1699.¹
     Her married name became Mildmay.

     Maria Mildmay is the daughter of Sir Walter Mildmay and Mary Walsingham.² She married Sir William Brouncker.¹
     Her married name became Brouncker.
